way はとりあえず「道」または「やり方」のどちらかかなと思えばだいたい合います。
この場合、

ここまで読んでくると、「毎晩同じ仕方で窓（窓枠）が照らされていた」みたいなことを言いたいんだろうとわかるので、 in the same way は「同じやり方・仕方で」でしょう。
いま辞書（ジーニアス英和辞典）を引いてみたら、

同じやり方で、同じように
とちゃんと出ていました。
「同じ道で」という意味にはならないようです。
ここまでの確認をしましょう。
